E. Vancsik bought the first fraction of land to plant tea.
1984
E. Vancsik founded EMPRO and built a small tea factory.
1990
EMPRO expanded its business into Yerba Mate, buying 20 fractions of land.
2002
EMPRO built its Yerba Mate Factory.
2004
EMPRO renovated and expanded the original tea factory.
2015
Nicolas Binaghi founded WK1 and started developing the US export market.
2018
WK1 SA & EMPRO merged their business to become WK1.
2020
WK1 SA reached the top 10 in the Argentine tea exporter ranking.
